With over 15 years in the world of digital output and photography, Andrew Darlow has had hands-on experience with many of today’s digital input and output technologies, including Epson, Canon and HP inkjet printers (4 to 44 inches wide), color management systems from GretagMacbeth and ColorVision, and Nikon and Canon pro and prosumer-level digital cameras.
For more than six years, he taught at the International Center of Photography in New York City, and he currently offers individuals and businesses private and group consulting and/or classes in the following areas:
-Getting the most from inkjet and other printers, including:
-Choosing the ideal media and inks;
-Determining proper lighting for optimum print viewing;
-Achieving archival output with stable inks and media;
-Making proper hardware or software RIP decisions;
-Optimizing Photoshop for speed and compatibility with other software;
-Printer, scanner, camera and computer purchasing recommendations;
-Screen and device calibration, including custom profiling;
-Data management using Adobe Photoshop CS/CS2/CS3, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and iView Media Pro (now Microsoft Expression Media)
