Call For Entries Deadline: July 15, 2008 at the Center For Fine Art Photography

The Center for Fine Art Photography’s “2008 International Exhibition of Fine Art Photography” Show call for entries deadline is today (7/15/2008). You can view an online exhibition of last year’s International Exhibition winners here.

In addition to being invited to have work exhibited at The Center’s new and expanded location from 10/3-11/01/2008, a list of other awards for winning entries can be found on the show’s call for entries page.

As I’ve mentioned before, I am a member of The Center For Fine Art Photography’s Ambassador’s Circle, which is a group of volunteers who help to share information about events and calls for entry.

The Juror for this show is Hossein Farmani, Founder of the Lucie Awards, gallery owner, and photographer. Entries are due by 11:59PM Mountain Standard Time (MST) on Tuesday 7/15/2008, and are accepted via The Center’s website. Two Fine-Art Printing Workshops Added: August 16 and 18, 2008

On Saturday, August 16, 2008 and Monday, August 18, 2008 from 10:00AM-5:00PM, I’ll be giving two separate fine-art inkjet printing workshops entitled: How to Prepare Files and Make Gallery-Quality Prints at Nancy Ori Studio in Berkeley Heights, NJ.

Three of the same full-day workshops have already filled, but as of today (7/8/2008), some space remains for these two. For a full description of these workshops, I’ve created a two page brochure with a full overview of the classes. You can download them below:

Upcoming Full Day Workshop in New Jersey on 8/9/2008

On Saturday, August 9, 2008 from 10:00am-5:00pm, I’ll be giving a fine-art inkjet printing full day workshop entitled How to Prepare Files and Make Gallery-Quality Prints at Nancy Ori Studio in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey.

UPDATE 7/7/2008: This workshop has filled, but two more full-day workshops have been added (8/16/2008 and 8/18/2008): Please see this page for details.

Each participant in this class will have at least two prints made from their supplied photo or other image on a pigment-based inkjet printer. This has been one of the best ways I’ve found to help others choose the right paper and printer for their work. During the workshop, I’ll be showing many print samples, I will go step-by-step through a recommended printmaking workflow using Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Lightroom, and other applications, and I will demonstrate how to make and use custom profiles.
