I just noticed that Calumet Photo has a very impressive “Photo of the Week” page, with many stunning images from their customers. This week’s photo is an absolutely stunning flower image by Don A. Gagnon, entitled, Lily Red.
You can view the images and find out more on Calumet’s Photo of the Week page.
The Center for Fine Art Photography’s “All Things Horses” Show call for entries deadline is today (6/18/2008). The show’s Juror is photographer Christiane Slawik.
In addition to being invited to have work exhibited at The Center’s new and expanded location from 9/5-9/27/2008, a list of other awards for winning entries can be found on the show’s call for entry page. Images related to riding, working and enjoying horses; photos of tack, riders, rider’s attire, people on horseback – or in the process of getting unseated, dressage, and of course horses in any pose or situation are sought for this exhibition.
As I’ve mentioned in the past, I am a member of The Center For Fine Art Photography’s Ambassador’s Circle, which is a group of volunteers who help to share information about events and calls for entry.
Entries are due by 11:59PM Mountain Standard Time (MST) on Wednesday 6/18/2008, and are accepted via The Center’s website. For more info, here is a direct link to the Street Photography show’s call for entry page.

I recently received a newsletter from Photojojo.com, one of my favorite photo-related sites. It had an overview of an incredible news site with many large and stunning photos. News photos are rarely displayed large online, so this site really stands out.
You can read the Photojojo.com article about the site (Boston.com/bigpicture/) here.
