In case you haven’t seen the news, earlier today, September 23, 2008, Adobe Systems released a big update to the Creative Suite family of applications. There is a lot to cover, and after reviewing a number of resources that cover this news, I’ve highlighted a few sites that lead to more links, as well as some direct links to related info.
1. First, if you receive this e-mail in time, I recommend visiting this page to sign up for a live webcast to see many of the new features in the CS4 suite. I was unable to attend the 9am Eastern (EST) webcast, so I signed up for the 9am Pacific (PST) webcast.
2. Next, I recommend reading this post by John Nack, which will lead to many excellent resources.
3. And to see the full lineup of CS4 products and new/upgrade pricing (all of which include either Photoshop CS4 or Photoshop CS4 Extended), visit this page on Adobe.com.
4. There is also a very good overview of a late Beta version of Photoshop CS4 by Wayne Cosshall of DImageMaker.com here, with some mini tutorials.

I just logged onto CreativePro.com and came across a new review of the Canon EOS Rebel XSi by Ben Long. One of the most interesting parts of the review is when Long covers the XSi’s live view features, including a photo from an event shot at 1600ISO. The article can be found here.
Ben Long is the author of a number of successful books about digital photography, including Complete Digital Photography, and Getting Stated with Camera Raw. His website, Complete Digital Photography, has a wealth of information about digital photography, Apple Aperture, Photoshop, Photoshop Lightroom, Plug-ins and much more.
I just came across a recent article by author and photographer Noella Ballenger on Apogee Photo Magazine. I really like reading essays by photographers that are accompanied by the writer’s images, and I think that Ms. Ballenger’s photos of polar bears, photographed by her in Canada, are very impressive. Noella Ballenger has many other informative and nicely illustrated photo essays on Apogee Photo, and the site has a lot of other content, including photo contests, free articles on how to take better photos, and online workshops. To go directly to Noella Ballenger’s polar bear article, visit this page.
